Additional Civic Center assets include City Hall, UN Plaza, and cultural institutions such as the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and Orpheum Theater, among others.

Asian Art Museum, 200 Larkin St. / 0.4 miles / 4 minutes by bike. Far more than just a collection of scrolls and pottery, the Asian Art Museum caters to all ages, with both traditional displays and new-school, interactive events. No exploration of Asian culture is complete without the enticing aromas, tantalizing sizzles, and mouthwatering flavors of the continent’s cuisine at Café Asia. Bike racks are next to the museum entrance on McAllister (between Larkin and Hyde Streets).

SOMA StrEat Food Park, 428 11th St. / 0.6 miles / 4 minutes by bike. Pedal to this culinary carnival and urban playground with a rotating lineup of culinary curiosities that are sure to amaze, delight and astound. The park features food trucks, beer, wine, carnival games, wifi, TV screens, and heat lamps for the cold nights.

Smitten Ice Cream, 432 Octavia St. /0.4 miles / 7 minutes by bike. Satisfy your sweet tooth with an afternoon ice cream ride to Smitten. This fan favorite uses a specially designed machine that churns out ice cream from scratch in just a minute. Choose your flavor and watch the fresh ingredients come together to create a delicious scoop of ice cream. Just be sure to get it in a hand-rolled fresh waffle cone. It’s the right thing to do.

Yerba Buena Gardens, 750 Howard St. / 1.2 miles / 9 minutes by bike. Pedal down to play, dine, shop or just relax. The new season of the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival opens May 4th. Mission Dolores Park, Dolores St. & 19th St. / 1.6 miles / 13 minutes by bike. Pack a picnic and head to Dolores Park where you’ll find festivals, performances, and other cultural events. On sunny afternoons it’s an ideal place to lounge, picnic, walk a dog, and enjoy spectacular views of the city’s skyline and beyond.
