For farther trips, NEMA is surrounded by plentiful public transportation options and shuttle stops, as well as I-80 and I-280 highways.

Fall Fun. In fall/winter, you can glide across the ice at a special holiday Winter Park at Civic Centerfeaturing ice skating and curated seasonal events just 0.3 miles from your NEMA doorstep. In addition to the ice rink, the 400-foot skating track weaved ice skating fun through a lighted tree forest.

Find farm fresh goodness at the Heart of the City Farmers Market, located at United Nations Plaza, along Market Street between 7th and 8th Streets above Civic Center BART Station. The market runs on Sundays 7:00am – 5:00pm & Wednesdays 7:00am – 5:30pm, open year round.

Spring Culture in the City. In spring/summer, from May through October, Yerba Buena Gardens Festival is the place to be! Just a mile from NEMA you can take in programs ranging from music, dance, circus, and theater to cultural festivals. Enjoy intimate 1-hour performances featuring Bay Area bands make the perfect lunch hour getaway during Thursday Lunchtime Concerts.
