Ever since the news that Arsicault Bakery may be opening a storefront near Civic Center, lovers of baked goods have been anxiously awaiting any updates.

A recent SF Eater article gave us an update that the Civic Center neighborhood location has become a reality.

Those who are eager to enjoy the internationally-famous croissants at Arsicault Bakery will soon have a UN Plaza option, as the tiny Richmond District operation appears to be open — though perhaps, not officially —in its long-awaited location in San Francisco’s Civic Center neighborhood.

As people anxiously awaited news, the opening was announced on SF Eater a few days later:

The croissant spot Bon Appetit once called the best new bakery in the entire country has finally opened its long-awaited second location. Arsicault quietly opened its McAllister Street bakery early last week, bringing its much sought-after croissants and kouign-amann downtown. 87 McAllister Street

Soooo delicious!!! Arsicault has been on my list forever, but I never wanted to trek out to their Richmond location and find that they were sold out lol. So I was ecstatic when I found out that they have a Civic Center location! - Tara A.

My commute to work involves getting off at Leavenworth to catch the Bart at Civic Center. I was extremely surprised and pleased to see that Arsicault is expanding! Of course I had to stop by and grab something for breakfast so I got the chocolate almond croissant. My expectations were fully met and I didn't have to wait in a super long line like at their first location! - Tiffany C.
