SF Opera, only 0.3 miles from NEMA San Francisco. They have been thrilling audiences in San Francisco since 1923 and are known for commissioning numerous world premieres, training some of opera's greatest young artists, and creating innovative programs and events to inspire a new generation of opera goers. The San Francisco Opera’s 2023-2024 season opens with their gala on September 8, before a full calendar: The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs (September 22-October 7), The Elixir of Love (November 19- December 9) and its special immersive event: The Elixir of Love Encounter (December 1), along with more traditional operas such as Il Trovatore (September 12-October 1) and The Magic Flute (May 30-June 30).

SF JAZZ Center, only 0.3 miles from NEMA San Francisco. Opened in 2013, SF JAZZ is located on the corner of Franklin and Fell Streets in the heart of San Francisco’s arts district, and includes two performance spaces, multiple music practice rooms, a digital lab, and the B-Side restaurant and bar. As a continued celebration of the organization's 40th anniversary and 11th at the SFJAZZ Center, the SF JAZZ 2023-2024 Season opens on September 7 and will feature over 300 concerts and will include five new Resident Artistic Directors in Kenny Barron, Ravi Coltrane, Julian Lage, Howard Wiley, and Brandee Younger. In addition, the all-star resident ensemble SFJAZZ Collective, will be celebrating their 20th year.

Asian Art Museum, only 0.3 miles from NEMA San Francisco. The museum is home to one of the world’s finest collections of Asian art, boasting more than 18,000 awe-inspiring artworks ranging from ancient jades and ceramics to contemporary video installations. Opening September 15, Murakami: Monsterized. In spectacular fashion, a luminary of art and popular culture imagines the monsters that pervade our real and virtual worlds. Coming November 17, The Heart of Zen allows you to discover the delicate brushwork and profound simplicity of two still life ink paintings that have been treasured at a Zen Buddhist temple for centuries.

SF Symphony, only 0.3 miles from NEMA San Francisco. The San Francisco Symphony is an award-winning symphony, led by Music Director Esa-Pekka Salonen. Whether an off-the-wall escapade or a desert-island classic, it’s all here in the San Francisco Symphony’s 2023-24 season. Esa-Pekka Salonen’s fourth season as Music Director includes 12 Orchestral programs, four world premiere performances, SoundBox, continued partnerships with Peter Sellars and Alonzo King LINES Ballet, and a celebration of the spirit of California.

SF Conservatory of Music, only 0.3 miles from NEMA San Francisco. At the SFCM, they're advancing a new model of music education that sets students up for a rewarding career in music and a path of lifelong learning. San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Fall Series 2023 runs from September - December 9 and features “multiple artist residencies, visiting guest artists, and faculty and student concerts, comprising a season of hundreds of live performances. More than 90% of these events will be free and open to the public,” reads the San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s site. Featuring a robust calendar of music, from performances by guitar virtuoso Sérgio Assad, the SFCM orchestra with Edwin Outwater, to baroque ensembles, to Chamber Music Tuesdays and more — the fall calendar is full of beautiful music to hear.
