December 1, Run Wild San(ta) Francisco. This 5K and kids dash includes a Santa hat to wear, a race-day T-shirt, a finish-line award, a timing chip, and a post-race expo at Crissy Field.

December 1-24, A Christmas Carol. Take in Charles Dickens’ holiday classic about the transformation of miserly Scrooge at ACT’s Geary Theater.

December 4, Civic Center Plaza Holiday Tree Lighting. Kick off the holiday season in the City at the Civic Center Plaza Holiday Tree Lighting with festive bites and drinks, holiday crafts and more.

December 6, Light The Night - Tree Lighting Celebration. Kick off the holidays under the iconic Emporium Dome with a special lighting of the 50 foot Inverted Crystal Tree.

December 7, Daybreaker SF. Cozy up inside your best Christmas sweaters, glitter up your vibe, then join us for a festive yoga flow at The Winter Park at Civic Center.

December 7, SantaCon. Wear your Santa suit and head to Union Square for a pub crawl.

December 8, Undiscovered SF: Holiday Market. Experience an array of Fil-Am artisan merchants, food and dessert vendors and a live art auction under the dome of the iconic Westfield Centre.

December 11-29, 75th Anniversary Nutcracker. Take part in a classic San Francisco tradition with the San Francisco Ballet this holiday season as they celebrate 75 years of America's first Nutcracker.

December 12-13, Chocolate and Art Show. Featuring artists, live body painting, live music, face-painting, and free chocolate at SOMArts Cultural Center.

December 14, Parol Lantern Festival & Parade. Starting at Jessie Square and going through Yerba Buena Gardens. Attend a workshop to build a lantern you can carry.

December 15, Holiday Brass. This holiday concert is a festive mix of classical and popular holiday music played by the San Francisco Symphony brass section at Davies Symphony Hall.

December 15, Crab Feed. A ticket to the All-You-Can-Eat Crab Feast at SoMa StrEat Food Park gets you Dungeness crab, garlic noodles, salad, and iced tea.

December 15, SFMade Holiday Fair. Shop for locally made gifts from 75 vendors at the California College of the Arts.

December 20, Adam Shulman Performs A Charlie Brown Christmas. Pianist Shulman reprises his tribute to Vince Guaraldi in Charles Schulz’s 1965 holiday classic, A Charlie Brown Christmas.

December 22-29, Bill Graham Menorah. See the lighting of the giant menorah in Union Square.

December 31, San Francisco New Year’s Eve Fireworks. These sparklers launch for 15 minutes from barges offshore of the Ferry Building with a soundtrack playing along the Embarcadero.

Thru January 1, Gingerbread House. Made of thousands of homemade gingerbread bricks and tons of icing and candy in the lobby of the Fairmont San Francisco hotel.

Thru January 5, Winter Park at Civic Center. Lace up your skates and join us at the Winter Park at Civic Center for outdoor ice skating and holiday festivities.

Thru January 2, St. Francis Holiday Display. Stop by the lobby of the Westin St. Francis to admire the holiday castles with circular towers, surrounded by holiday sugar cakes.

Thru January 20, Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square. Lace up your skates and join us at The Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square presented by Alaska Airlines!
