January 2020 is upon us! This month the City brings a myriad of ways to celebrate the new year, new season of the SF Ballet and more to the neighborhood and beyond. January 2, Shen Yun at War Memorial Opera House. World-famous performing-arts troupe Shen Yun summons an ancient Chinese world to vibrant life via traditional music, dance and acrobatics.
January 2, "Head Over Heels" at New Conservatory Theatre Center. Fall in love with a bold new musical set to the soundtrack of the most successful female rock band of all time, The Go-Go’s.
January 2, Plants & Wine: Terrarium Workshop. You'll be sipping on wine and making new friends, while creating a succulent/cactus garden you can take home.
January 3, The San Francisco Winter Cocktail Party. A special celebration of seasonal cocktails and DJs at Bar Fluxus.
Thru January 5, Winter Park at Civic Center. Lace up your skates and join us at the Winter Park at Civic Center for outdoor ice skating and holiday festivities.
January 5-20, Hamilton. Hamilton is performing through January 5, 2020 at the Orpheum Theatre.
January 9, Jeremy Jordan at the Herbst Theatre at the San Francisco War Memorial Building. Jeremy Jordan first appeared on Broadway in the musical Rock of Ages.
January 12, Hot Chocolate 15K/5K. Run through Golden Gate Park and along the ocean on the Hot Chocolate 15K/5K, which includes snacks along the way and hot chocolate at the finish line.
January 13, MacDougall @ JPM: A Four-Mile Fun Run. Enjoy a flat loop around the neighborhood at a modest pace OR up Telegraph Hill to Coit Tower where you can earn the spectacular view by getting yourself up the Filbert St. Stairs.
January 14, ArtSpan Artist Workshop: "What Sells". Learn how to create a body of artwork that sells, presented by professional artist, gallerist, & educator, Stephen C. Wagner.
January 16, Spellbound, San Francisco Ballet's 2020 Opening Night Gala. The Gala embraces the spirit of SF Ballet's 2020 Season, which features an array of magical, innovative, and unexpected ballets.

January 25, Figure Drawing at SOMArts. Figure drawing sessions at SOMArts have been ongoing for 15+ years, making it one of the longest-running groups of its kind in the Bay Area.
January 30, SFJAZZ Gala 2020 Honoring Mavis Staples. SFJAZZ Gala 2020 celebrates Mavis Staples with the SFJAZZ Lifetime Achievement Award during our most lively and influential fundraiser.
