Life at NEMA puts you in the center of it all. Summer in the City brings the Warriors watch party, Pride parade, Elote festival, and jazz to the neighborhood and beyond. Here are a few of the many must attend events to get on your social calendar this month:

June 1, SF Symphony: Bach & Shostakovich. The San Francisco Symphony ushers in the summer concert season at Davies Hall with a pair of rousing works.

June 1 - October 27, Yerba Buena Gardens Festival. Hear music concerts and watch dance performances outdoors through October.

June 1-29, Hamilton. Hamilton is back at the Orpheum Theater.

June 2, SSFP Flip Faire. Flip Faire at SoMa StrEat Food Park is an open market and place to connect with the local community and meet awesome makers and artisans.

June 2-16, Warriors Watch Party. Step into your Warriors arena, get a front row view, and be a part of every play leading up to the DUB NATION TAKE OVER at SoMa StrEat Food Park.

June 3, Creative Cutting Principles. Clinton Norris and Lucas Doney will be instructing on creative cuts using classic technique and principles.

June 5, BOMF x lululemon. Back on My Feet and lululemon are showing up strong this Global Running Day and we want you to join in sharing the feeling of run with our community.

June 8, RUBY. RUBY is a Cabaret and Dance Party Extravaganza Celebrating 40 years of SOMArts.

June 8-9, Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon. Challenging 1.5-mile swim from Alcatraz Island to the St. Francis Yacht Club, an 18-mile bike ride, and an 8-mile trail run through Golden Gate Recreational Area.

June 12-23, San Francisco Jazz Festival. Attend more than 40 big-name shows at five venues in the Hayes Valley neighborhood, beginning with the free annual block party.

June 15, Yerba Buena Art Walk. Experience the Art Heart of downtown San Francisco's Yerba Buena neighborhood for this FREE event that if fun for the whole family.

June 16, 23, 30, Stern Grove Festival. Stern Grove Festival's 82nd Season of free concerts will run every Sunday from June 16 through August 18.

Thru June 19, Yiying Lu Art Show: The Happy Creative Land. This exhibition at NEMA will be showcasing 100+ pieces of her work in the past 10 years in the intersection of Tech & Art.

June 20, At the Table: “Knives and Needles” with Molly Kitamura and Chad. Part of Thursday Nights at the Asian Art Museum.

June 21, Botanicals and Brews Beer Garden. A ticket to includes one craft beer and access to the Conservatory of Flowers and the Palm Terrace beer garden.

June 22, ELOTE — The Corniest Festival Yet! Get your fix at NorCal’s first elote festival: ELOTE — The Corniest Festival Yet at SoMa StrEat Food Park.

June 26, 2019 Pioneers in Design. John will expand our minds with his insights and experience as an entrepreneur, strategist, inventor and Ninja Turtle. SFJAZZ.

June 29-30, San Francisco Pride. Celebrate LGBT San Francisco Pride with performances and exhibitors at Civic Center Plaza both days, a giant Pride Parade on Market Street, and a VIP Party at City Hall.

June 30, Japan Day Festival. Featuring Japanese music, dance, and taiko on two stages at Japantown Peace Plaza, plus the Art of Tea Ceremony.

Thru Oct 6, Concerts in the park. Golden Gate Park Band plays a variety of music (classical, marches, opera, swing, and show tunes) at Spreckels Temple of Music in Golden Gate Park.
