July in the neighborhood and beyond brings a new season and variety of live entertainment! Here are a few of the many must attend events that are up next this month near NEMA:

July 1, The Friday Roll Out. Fridays are always a great time to go roller skating. This is a session where kids and families skate along with anyone that's in the mode to get their skate groove on early.

July 2, 9, 16, 23 + 30, Live Music in the Square! Enjoy live music performances at Union Square Park. Bring your friends, family and neighbors, grab some lunch and enjoy live local acts.

July 4, Fireworks Display. Witness the skies sparkle red, white and blue as PIER 39 celebrates Independence Day with a day of fun for the whole family.

July 7-August 4, Summer at SFJAZZ. Through August, SFJAZZ will feature over 100 concerts! The 39th Annual SF Jazz Festival and SFJAZZ Summer Sessions features a robust calendar of shows through August.

July 8, Dirty South. Audio welcomes back Dirty South on July 8th, but this time he'll be playing open-to-close.

July 9, TURFinc 10yr Anniversary Dance Battle. Leave Your Mark, Season 2 with an exciting lineup of Bay Area Dancers is located on Level 4 under the Dome at Westfield San Francisco Centre.

July 10, WITHIN Meditation. This is a Sunday Meditation @ TINT Gallery – a soul-nourishing event that includes guided meditation, lively discussion, and time to connect.

July 14, Time For Three With The SF Symphony. Genre-bending string trio Time for Three joins conductor Paolo Bortolameolli and the SF Symphony for a lively program at the Davies Symphony Hall.

July 15, The Rare Occasions. Popscene @ Rickshaw Stop. The Rare Occasions are an LA-based, New England-bred indie rock band known for their explosive garage rock anthems with catchy vocal harmonies.

July 16, Ube Fest & The Palengke Collective. DJ Marcus Lee bringing the dance tracks. Combining specialty menus, local small businesses, entertainment, and community.

July 21, Tomorrow X Together. Tomorrow X Together is regarded as K-pop’s voice of Gen Z for their musical narratives which focus on the common experiences and emotions of youth across the globe.

July 24, Labyrinth: Film Screening and Talk with Karen Prell. Visit The CJM to enjoy a special screening of Labyrinth—the beloved whimsical musical from the mind of Jim Henson. Puppeteer Karen Prell will present the film and lead a post-screening Q&A.

July 28, Queer Pasts and Futures. Discover how two artists are expanding queer perspectives on archives, politics, and historical trauma through experimental cinematic work at the Asian Art Museum.

July 30, Jazz Jam in the Garden with Curious Planet. Enjoy the jazz stylings of Curious Planet in the Hayes Valley Art Works garden, with guest singers sitting in.
