Just a few short city blocks from NEMA you will find a new restaurant serving up vegan Filipino food. Whether for health reasons or the fact that you prefer to eat vegan, it’s nice to have another option in SoMa. So let’s welcome Nick’s on Mission to the neighborhood.

Filipino cuisine is usually heavy on meat dishes so the new restaurant is quite the item, introducing people to Filipino food and flavors in a delicious vegan venue. The unique culinary addition caught the eye of the SF Chronicle as well as Eater San Francisco with excellent write-ups by both.

So what can you expect from the new restaurant? We checked on Yelp and Yelpers are loving what Nick’s on Mission is serving up:

I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious this food was. Filipino dishes are classically meat-centric and having vegan options is great! Definitely worth a try my vegan friends. – Wendy H.

Phenomenal food and an even better flan! Service is great and the ambiance is as good as any five star hotel in the area. The music is shazam-able! Vegan and delicious for all! – Johnny C.

Very new restaurant with flavorful vegan Filipino foods. Colleagues also found the food tasty. For a more filling meal, choose the 2-item or 3-item combos. – Grim P.

Following in the tradition of amazing Vegan Filipino tradition of food in Daly City and South San Francisco, the San Francisco location's food is the same superb quality. I'm here on day #2, so they're still building up the atmosphere. It's "Togo" only for now with a space for chairs and tables in the future. I'm so excited to have another Vegan restaurant in San Francisco. Sisiq and Pancit are my current favorites. – Clyde L.
