When elevator doors open 120 feet above Market Street to unparalleled views of the City by the Bay, you’ve entered your new social playground. Charmaine’s is the rooftop bar and lounge San Francisco has been waiting for, where the energetic culture and chic of a European terrace meets the laid-back “California cool” lifestyle.

Slow Cooker Fall Love

Ready to put those Daily Habit shakes on pause and try your own hand at some fall cooking that fits your busy schedule? Skip a month of Hello Fresh/Blue Apron and give a few slow cooker recipes a try. Cooking for one? Not a problem. Many can be frozen, making it simple to grab a comfort meal and cozy up with your favorite book for a perfect fall Sunday.

Santa Fe-Style Paleo Vegetable Soup. You can add shredded chicken to this Paleo-optimized recipe for additional protein, but it’s perfectly tasty as a vegetarian dish.

Cashew Chicken. Step away from the takeout menu. The chicken is breaded to perfection and the sauce is full of flavor. The cashews hidden throughout are the best part.

Sweet and Spicy Asian Pork Shoulder. Chinese five-spice powder — typically made from cinnamon, cloves, fennel seed, star anise, and Szechuan peppercorns— wakes up the braised pork.

Butternut Squash Lentil Soup. After you finish making eight servings of this vegetarian butternut squash and lentil soup, you can freeze the leftovers for a rainy (or exceptionally busy) day.

Cuban Braised Beef and Peppers. This colorful stew is a take on the hearty Cuban dish ropa viejo.

Protein-Rich Mexican Chicken. Thanks to lean chicken breasts and toasted pumpkin seeds, this tender Mexican chicken dish is packed full of protein.

Sweet Potato White Chicken Chili. This is an easy all in one Paleo and Whole30 meal for any night of the week! Great to makes ahead and pack for lunches too.

Soy-Glazed Chicken With Stir-Fried Vegetables. Tender chicken gets an Asian spin with fish sauce, soy sauce, and ginger.

Happy slow cooking!
