In just minutes from NEMA San Francisco doorstep you can be gliding across the ice and celebrating the season! The Winter Park at Civic Center, which made its debut last year in the heart of the City, returns for its second year of outdoor ice skating and holiday festivities starting November 22. Located at 355 McAllister Street in the historic Civic Center Plaza, The Winter Park features an ice rink and expanded skating track that weaves through a lighted tree forest. And with exciting events, including an opening day ceremony, Learn to Curl sessions, and more, there’s something for everyone in the community to enjoy.

The Winter Park will run from Friday, November 22 through Sunday, January 5, from noon to 9:30 p.m. daily. Ticket prices for regular admission are $18 and $13 for children eight years old and under, with skate rental included in the cost of admission. Limited number of same-day tickets available at the box office each day. Box office opens daily at 11:45am. Tickets can be purchased online in advance here.

New to The Winter Park this year will be an opportunity for guests to create lasting photo memories at the rink. Storibox will provide a green screen with several options of festive backgrounds for guests to choose from, along with an on-site photo retail booth offering digital and print products. Available on weekends and during Thanksgiving break and Winter Break.

In addition, The Winter Park at Civic Center will also host several San Francisco-based special events throughout the holiday season. The lineup of special Civic Center events for the season is as follows:

Opening Celebration | November 22, 11:00am - 12:00pm
The Winter Park will host a special ceremony to celebrate a new season of skating and holiday festivities in the heart of San Francisco. The festivities will feature guest appearances from local dignitaries, special performances, a DJ and more.

iHeart Fridays | Fridays in December, 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. sessions
iHeartRadio is hosting a dance party at The Winter Park every Friday evening in December! Show off your moves on the ice as your favorite iHeart DJs spin a variety of tunes.

Learn to Curl | Every Sunday in December, 10:30–11:30 a.m.
Instructors from the Granite Curling Club will offer curling lessons every Sunday at The T-Mobile Winter Park at Civic Center. Attendees will grab their brooms and learn the ins and outs of this fun winter sport that’s sweeping the nation. Lessons are rain or shine! Tickets are $20. Space is limited to 30 participants per session.

First Responders Appreciation Days | December 2 - 3, 12:00 - 5:30 p.m.
Come out to celebrate the people who give their all — during the holidays and every other day of the year! The Winter Park is pleased to honor all first responders during the holidays. Each first responder, along with one guest, will receive free admission with proof of ID when presented at the ticket window. Each additional guest will receive $1 off admission. Advance ticket purchases are not available on Eventbrite; free admission and discounts are only available on December 2-3 at the ticket window.

Civic Center Plaza Holiday Tree Lighting | December 4, 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.This festive lighting of the Civic Center tree features live entertainment, a toy giveaway, take and make crafts and goodies for the kids to enjoy.

Holidaybreaker | Saturday, December 7, 2019 | 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
The global Daybreaker movement brings wellness, dance and community together to help people start their day with energy and intention. Join us for our own Holidaybreaker yoga and dance party and let it all out – on and off the ice!
